Royal Holloway, University of London puts trees top of the agenda
The 135 acres of beautiful parkland at Royal Holloway, provided the perfect backdrop for the recent Arboricultural Association tree conference. During the three day event, the ground was prepared for the planting of a rare Wollemi Pine, near the steps of the iconic Victorian Founder's Building.
Additionally, one of the conference sponsors generously donated a selection of ornamental and fruit trees to plant across the campus.
Delegates created a treasure trail of 50 trees of interest on campus, describing Royal Holloway’s Arboretum, one of the most notable tree collections in Surrey, as “a fantastic resource”.
Whether you are looking for a meeting room for 10 people or an auditorium for 400, at Royal Holloway we can provide facilities, accommodation and catering to make your event truly memorable. Come and visit us at the Academic Venue Show, stand no. 41 or contact us on 01784 443045.
